Remote Login Authentication

Postby Sivakumar » Wed Jul 25, 2001 6:32 am

Hi,

We have a Network File System on HP9000 sever
and have another client running.

How to authenticate rlogin to this server?

I've tried with /etc/hosts.equiv file permissions.
Still I'm not able to control the system.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Neil, Thanks for the response.

I've tried with /.rhosts or ~/.rhosts for any user.
This too does not help me.

Check the file permission of /.rhosts file, it should be 700.

Thank you very much.
It's working with permission 600.
