You have to add the disk to an existing volume group
(.e.g extendvg rootvg hdisk2 ).
You can also use that disk to create a new volume group
(e.g. mkvg newvg hdisk2).
Once you the disk was added to the volume you can use
use crfs to create a filesystem.
The following example creates a 4MB from the rootvg volume group and use the /test2 as the mount point.
#crfs -v jfs -g rootvg -m /test2 -a size=4096
Based on the parameters chosen, the new /test2 JFS file system
is limited to a maximum size of 134217728 (512 byte blocks)
New File System size is 8192
After the filesystem was created you are ready to mount it.
#mount /test2
